12 Feb PILAR JURADO PARTICIPATES IN THE FIRST GLOBAL CROSS-BORDER E-COMMERCE CONFERENCE IN CHINA
Pilar Jurado participated in the round table “What’s next – futuristic vision?” which took place on Saturday, 10th of February in Beijing, as part of the first global conference on cross-border e-commerce.
“We must embrace the potential of the digital economy and stand up to the challenges e-commerce poses for the security and protection of citizens and for the effective collection of revenue.” Pilar Jurado.
Among the aspects commented by Pilar Jurado, the following proposals stand out:
1. Single window: cooperation between customs and other authorities to foster e-commerce.
2. Advanced information: it will allow an agile risk management and will speed up customs formalities.
3. Technology: swift customs treatment of e-commerce calls for interoperable IT systems.
4. Standards: implement a dynamic Framework of Standards for e-commerce.
